DESCRIPTION OF THE FILTER

BFK-filters are the most versatile filters of the biodesodor-system. They can be used for virtually any biologically solvable odour and air contamination problem from sludge-treatment in waste water stations to industrial applications.

BFK-filters have an integrated humidification unit that saturates the waste air with water and prepares it for the biological process.

The proper deodorization is carried out in rectangular modules filled with high yield substrate suspended on a grid. This way a maximum flexibility is guaranteed as the modules can be moved later on and the installation can be amplified with further modules.

Operation is very economic and requires virtually no maintenance. You need  water supply and electrical current to operate ventilators and the pumps in the humidification unit.

The filter counts with a high yield filter bed that guarantees a long life span. In real world applications life times of more than 10 years have been achieved.

For the most important contaminating substances  in odour emissions yields of more than 99 % have been observed.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FILTER

  • Conditioning of the waste air in the humidification unit by a crossed flow scrubber and submerged pumps. Automatic water supply for the process.
  • Ventilators for aspiration of the waste air made of anti-corrosive plastic material.
  • High yield substrate.
  • Designed with inclined walls for minimization of preferential channels.
  • Filter made of black anti-corrosive HD-PE protected against UVA and reinforced with stainless steel.

WORKING CONDITIONS OF THE FILTER

  • Air temperature 5 – 38 ºC at the inlet.
  • Flow rates 500 – 20.000 m3/h (depending of number of modules installed).
  • Design for flow rates up to 100.000 m3/h on demand.
  • Water consumption (at 20 ºC and 50 % relative humidity): 0,2 l per m3/h of treated waste air and day.
  • Absence of disinfecting substances as chlorine, heavy metals or condensed matter.

  • Heater for the water of the humidification unit for installations on sites with long term severe frost.
  • Automatic irrigation of the filter bed.

  • Guaranties: 5 years on filter bed; 2 years on housing, 1 year rest of the parts.
  • Yield: 95 – 98 % guaranteed for the most important contaminants.
